December 2005 -At the Ballarat Christmas Show the team decided to have a fun day only showing the gelding Elargee Tribute. This was the pony’s first outing under saddle and he won the Welsh Leading Rein Pony and the Christmas fancy dress with bells, stockings and bags of parcels draped all over him. He didn’t miss a beat with bangles of bells on his feet and a flashing Rudolph red nose on his head. His little rider Sarah Herring had her first show too and was most excited.

November 2005 -The most exciting news for the Stud was the importation of two ponies from Friars Stud in Wales.  Friars Heart of Wales, a yearling daughter of Friars Goldilocks who was the supreme winner at the 2004 Royal Welsh Show in Wales and Friars Tearaway, colt by Friars Bantam out of Friars Tears of Joy arrived safely home following quarantine in Sydney..

We are really looking forward to their input into the Elargee breeding program in the future.

At the Ballarat and Central Highlands RPG Youngstock Show in November judged by Lottie Abrahall from the Flydon Stud in U.K. Elargee Trefor was Supreme Welsh Exhibit and Elargee Tri Star was Reserve Champion Welsh Mountain filly. In the second ring judged by Martin Jones also from U.K. Elargee Trousseau was Champion Welsh Mountain Pony Exhibit.

At the 2005 Gippsland & Peninsula Foal Show, Elargee Tri Star was Reserve Champion Welsh Mountain Pony Foal and at the BACH Foal Show Elargee Trefor went Supreme Welsh Foal.
